FWIW I've built a 6.6 kernel with only the PCIe patchset from:

https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20231031115430.113586-1-minda.chen@starfivetech.com/

applied and it all appears to be working fine (headless, ethernet
working, full 8G RAM detected, NVMe for boot/root).
