Bug#1115491: reportbug should prompt for typed name confirmation during initial setup
Package: reportbug
Version: 13.2.0
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: val@markovic.io
Dear Maintainer,
While going through reportbug's first-run interactive setup and entering "y"
for many questions, I was presented with my name and _what I thought_ was
another confirmation prompt. But that was not a confirmation prompt; it was
a prompt to enter a different name if the one presented was incorrect.
Oblivious, I entered "y", resulting in name "y". Thus bug #1115477 was filed
by "y".
It would be most awesome if, after an override name is entered, reportbug
prompted with something like:
You entered name "<entered name>". Is that correct? [Y|n|q]
This would have given me an opportunity to correct my PEBCAK mistake. :)
Thank you for working on reportbug!
