Please consider compiling xrdp with H.264 support. With the packages libx264-dev and libopenh264-dev, and build flags --enable-x264 --enable-openh264, I was able to get a build without any trouble.

Perhaps it is not necessary to support both. "According to developers' quick testing results, x264 provides a smoother experience than OpenH264 in the context of usage within xrdp. Therefore, we recommend using x264 if both encoders are available."
