Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: transition I want to request a transition slot for the allegro4.2 -> allegro4.4 transition. allegro4.2 is orphaned and Andreas Rönnquist and myself packaged allegro4.4. We are not Debian Developers, so we don't know when someone from the Games team will review and upload allegro4.4. The discussion on the Games team mailing list is [1,2,3]. These are the affected packages in Debian unstable: libdumb guichan alogg wing stax rafkill overgod open-invaders liquidwar garden-of-coloured-lights excellent-bifurcation alex4 kraptor kball ballz atanks They all were tested to build fine with allegro4.4, if liballegro4.4-dev gets a 'Provides: liballegro4.2-dev', except open-invaders - builds fine after #668815 is fixed alogg - FTBFS, but I think this one can be removed, see #671378 The transition should work like this: - Upload allegro4.4, remove allegro4.2 and libalogg1. - binNMUs for the libraries libdumb and guichan. - binNMUs for the other reverse dependencies.
