Indeed, so it means we all agree on the release goal itself, despite the
disagreements in the way it should be reached.

I have no idea. To direct things to the Technical Committee, maybe we
need a clear expression of the disagreement. I don’t know whether a pair
of remarks dumped on an IRC channel are enough for the TC to statute. 

Once unstable is ready for a python2.6 upload, we will see quickly. If
Matthias expresses clearly his disagreement, by action (upload of a
broken python2.6) or inaction (no upload at all), we can then ask the
TC.
