Removing 2.2 kernel packages from 'testing'
kernel-source-2.2.5 has been removed from testing.
This makes the following packages unbuildable in testing:
kernel-headers-2.2.25-m68k
kernel-image-2.2.25-amiga
kernel-image-2.2.25-atari
kernel-image-2.2.25-bvme6000
kernel-image-2.2.25-mac
kernel-image-2.2.25-mvme147
kernel-image-2.2.25-mvme16x
And makes the following unusable in testing:
kernel-patch-2.2.25-m68k
Now, none of these have been updated since 'sarge'. And I believe the plan is to
drop 2.2 and 2.4 kernel support for 'etch'. So I suggest removal of all these
packages. However, it might be better to actually remove them from *unstable*;
in that case, Christian Steigies <cts@debian.org> should be contacted.
I already filed a bug for removal of kernel-source-2.2.25 from unstable which would
be a good thing to Cc: with discussion, namely bug #379332. If y'all think it's a good
idea to request removal of all these packages, the bug could be expanded in scope to
remove all the kernel-*-2.2.25-* packages from unstable.
