What about just having one CD and one or two DVDs (various types)?

The boot and initial setup should be done from the CD and then the DVD(s)
could be asked for when needed.  It is much better than mucking around with
13 CDs.  Before too long, we will have greater capacity blue-laser drives
too....

Anyway, I prefer to do a netinstall -- works fine for me.
