Bug#1061165: qt5-gtk-platformtheme: GTK Theme not applied on wayland unless QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb is set
Package: qt5-gtk-platformtheme
Version: 5.15.10+dfsg-6
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: kocelfc@tutanota.com
Dear Maintainer,
When using Gnome/Wayland, if you install qt5-gtk-platformtheme, and try to run
keepassxc for example, you can notice that it's using a generic qt5 theme, and
not the one that the system is using. Cursor size is also messed up. This can
be worked around by setting `QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb`. The environmental variable
is not needed when using X11.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have a working GNOME setup
2. Log into a wayland session
3. Install qt5-gtk-platformtheme and keepassxc
4. Run keepassxc and notice that the theme is all messed up.
5. Try running it as follows: `QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb keepassxc` or start it from
an X11 session, and notice that the proper theming is applied.
