Bug#644076: can not run X applications with su if using kdm
Package: kdm
Version: 4:4.4.5-7+squeeze1
Severity: normal
(Excuse me for my bad English)
Steps to reproduce the bug.
1. Configure OS to use KDM.
2. Log in with KDM as non-privileged user (not root).
3. Open some terminal emulator.
4. Type "xclock" and press Enter.
Result: xclock started.
5. Close xclock window.
6. Switch to root with "su" command.
7. Type "xclock" and press Enter.
Resulting message:
"No protocol specified
Error: Can't open display: :0.0"
I think that it is a bug.
8. Switch to GDM.
9. Retry 2—7 with GDM. All should works without problems.
Regards, Sergey
