Bug#427807: kmail: messages in "ignored" threads still show up as new while in other mailboxes
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.5.7-1
Severity: normal

due to the increasing S:N ratio on some unspecified mailing lists, i've
recently become a big fan of the "mark this thread ignored" feature in
kmail. however, it seems to have a slight glitch.
- - set up an imap account with multiple mailboxes
- - mark a thread in one mailbox as ignored
- - switch to another mailbox and read other mail
- - while doing this, mail for the ignored thread arrives in original
mailbox, and shows up as "new", affecting the unread count, showing
up in the new mail systray applet, etc.
the really annoying thing about this is that when you switch to
the mailbox, the new mail count suddenly disappears.
my suggestion is that when kmail recieveѕ information about the new
messages that it first asks the server for the relevant headers (i'm
a little rusty on my imap, but i believe this can be done w/out fetching
the entire body) to determine if it's in an ignored thread.
