Bug#382545: kdeutils: kpowersave as replacement for klaptopdeamon
Package: kdeutils
Version: kpowersave instead of klaptopdeamon
Severity: wishlist
Heya,
due to the numbers of bugs regarding klaptopdeamon and it's missing
features I'd like to suggest the following changes:
Either:
- replace klaptopdeamon completely by kpowersave + powersaved, at least
as default in kdeutils
Or:
- put (klaptopdeamon | kpowersave) into the recommended packages of
kdeutils. I think most installations won't have a use for one of those
packages at all, and if you need a good powermanagment, I'd always go
with kpowersave + powersaved. Forcing an install of klaptopdeamon
makes only sense if it has the features of kpowersave AND it works
without any problem.
Best regards,
Bernd Zeimetz
