Hi Gordon,

It is not too late, but I suspect plymouth is not a hard dependency for
using systemd nor cryptsetup.  More likely, it would make sense to
request for one of them to Recommend plymouth.  Though, to be honest, I
am not sure which of them it belongs too.

I would recommend that you file a bug against systemd-sysv and
cryptsetup requesting for one of them to recommend plymouth.  If you are
using reportbug, the syntax is:

  reportbug systemd-sysv,cryptsetup

Though note that part of reportbug thinks of it as being one package, so
it will fail to look up the versions and existing bugs etc.
