My reason to ask for examples, is to have the chance to illustrate that
removing the separate watch files is not always the right solution.

The separate watch files are primarily meant for the PTS and DDPO.  The package
maintainer can still use get-orig-sources in the package.

Not true.  The use of get-orig-sources in the package is unrelated to when the
notice disappears from the PTS.
