Bug#392372: qa.debian.org: watch file not working with no error message available

In my qa page there are a lot of watch errors, but none with a proper
message.

see for example:
 http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=gareuselesinge&comaint=yes
and
 http://dehs.alioth.debian.org/maintainer.php?name=lua-expat

If called from the command line these watch files seem to work properly.
