Bug#120289: kmail: repeatedly asks for confirmation on SSL key when using DNS name
Package: kmail
Version: 4:2.2.1-1.6
Severity: wishlist
I have a localhost connection via SSL. When I had it connecting to "localhost"
it asked me again after every restart (of kmail) whether I wanted to accept the
SSL key. When I changed it to "127.0.0.1" that went away.
I believe that this is a bug. I guess that it was done this way because of
DNS being easy to fake. But once I have said yes to the key then that should
be it IMHO.
