This was most likely a bug in the ncpfs kernel module or related code,
rather than a bug in the userspace tools.

I suspect it's fixed by now.  Can you confirm?

If you get a chance to test with a squeeze kernel, that would also be
useful.  (No other packages except the kernel image from outside
wheezy/sid should be needed in order to perform that test.)
