Package: mybashburn Version: 1.0.2-2 Severity: grave Tags: upstream Justification: renders package unusable There are a few problems here: 1. mybashburn still depends on cdrecord, which was last released as part of Etch, and even getting it to recognize wodim reqired installing a transitional dummy package from Lenny symlinking cdrecord to wodim. 2. mybashburn uses the old ATA format for identifying drives, which has long been deprecated. 3. mybashburn tries to look in /proc for IDE drives, rendering it unusable on systems with SCSI/SATA/USB drives - basically anything less than five years old. 4. The cdrecord and symlink-collision problems haven't been touched in two and a half years, even though the maintainer requested a little time to fix it "quickly" in early 2009. Either fix the bugs, or declare it orphaned. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages mybashburn depends on: ii cdrdao 1:1.2.3-0.1 records CDs in Disk-At-Once (DAO) ii dialog 1.1-20110707-1 Displays user-friendly dialog boxe ii dvd+rw-tools 7.1-10 DVD+-RW/R tools ii eject 2.1.5+deb1+cvs20081104-8 ejects CDs and operates CD-Changer ii flac 1.2.1-4 Free Lossless Audio Codec - comman ii genisoimage 9:1.1.11-2 Creates ISO-9660 CD-ROM filesystem ii icedax 9:1.1.11-2 Creates WAV files from audio CDs ii vorbis-tools 1.4.0-1 several Ogg Vorbis tools ii wodim 9:1.1.11-2 command line CD/DVD writing tool mybashburn recommends no packages. mybashburn suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
