I'm unsure if it does any of this already, but mguesser could benefit from
statistical analysis.

http://www.informatics.bangor.ac.uk/~wjt/papers/TMT.ps.gz talks about it
and refers to another paper. I may have the SMI code somewhere too. I
think this is likely an upstream wishlist item. It'd be a nice surprise if
this method were already used by mguesser.
