Bug#600936: x2x: special chars (strictly speaking the german umlauts) are not send to remote host
Package: x2x
Version: 1.27.svn.20060501-4
Severity: normal
When starting x2x from my Desktop computer with the following command:
ssh -X $REMOTEHOST "x2x -to :0.0 --from \$DISPLAY -west"
i can acces my laptop but using any german umlaut does not work as well
as some other special chars like ; or :.
I am using an external lenovo usb keyboard on my Desktop computer.
Lite-On Technology Corp. ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint (xinput list on Desktop)
I have used this setup running Debian Lenny without any problems but
switching to Squeeze broke it.
To clearify it IS working but some special chars do not work (xev did
not recognize the keystrokes too).
I'm Sorry if i missed something but the manpage couldn't help....
