the default font used for the channel listing is quite ugly
on my system

nxtvepg should try to use some default one

the X resource file Nxtvepg.ad should at least be shipped in the doc
directory (the man page refers to it)

as workaround i added:
nxtvepg*pi_font: Sans -16 normal
! font for help text
nxtvepg*help_font: Sans -16 normal
! font for weekday labels in date scale to the right of programme list
nxtvepg*dscale_font: Sans -16 normal
nxtvepg*font: Sans -14 normal

to my .Xresources file
