Package: gtkpbbuttons
Severity: normal

Hi,
when a user installs gtkpbbuttons, I suppose it is higly probable
she wants this program to be available as soon as X is started.
To achieve this the install script of the package could append a line
like

gtkpbbuttons -d -t XXXX

to Xsetup of every login manager (i.e. /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup etcetera).

The XXXX theme could be asked via debconf, as well as we could ask
the user if she actually wants gtkpbbuttons to be put in Xsetup.

Moreover, I don't think running gtkpbbuttons once for all users is a
problem, since (if I'm not wrong) it makes no sense that two (or more)
users run different istances of gtkpbbuttons, because the box is
just one!

Cheers,
Alfredo

You filed the bug http://bugs.debian.org/296913 in Debian BTS
against the package gtkpbbuttons. I'm closing it at *unstable*, but it will
remain open for older distributions.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/593167. That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
