Hi,

I'd like to mention that there have been a lot of changes, improvements,
GUI overhaul and additional functionality in xpaint (last version is 2.7.0,
located on SourceForge, http://sourceforge.net/projects/sf-xpaint/).
Debian's current version 2.6.2 thus appears quite dated. New functionality
is expected to come in the next months (vector format, especially, maybe some
DTP features as well).

Sincerely yours,
Jean-Pierre Demailly (current maintainer)

PS1. Although there are obviously still some bugs, there are probably less
of them than there were in version 2.6.2...

PS2. Slackware, Mandrake and several other distros have moved to 2.6.9
(2.7.0 was released only a few days ago).
