Package: xmms-singit
Version: 0.1.18-1
Severity: normal

I'm having difficulties getting xmms-singit to work (at all) on sid. I
haven't tag'd this ``sid'' because xmms-singit is in the same version on
stable/testing/unstable.

I can pull up the config screen, but when I play an MP3 I can't get the
``lyrics displayer'' to display at all. Nothing, nada.

Yes, the plugin is enabled.

The lyrics directory is set to ~/lyrics/, the lyric extension is set to
txt. If I play the file hurt.mp3 from my home directory, with the file
hurt.txt in ~/lyrics, I don't see any lyrics displayed. I am aware of
the format of the file and have tried a variation of the sample one in
/usr/share/doc/xmms-singit/docs/example.tag as well as one generated by
the lyrics editor. I have tried changing the font to see if that could
be the issue. I've tried running xmms as root, I've tried the options
will all defaults and with everything that I think could cause problems
disabled. Nothing gets me a lyrics displayer window.

I've checked to make sure that xmms-singit doesn't have any Suggests: or
Recommends: listed that I don't have installed; there are, of course, no
Suggests/Recommends.

I've fired up xmms-singit with the console window option set and checked
the output on STDERR. I don't see anything that immediately suggests
what's going on. When I play a song I see main.c [main_playback_start],
when I stop a song I see main.c [main_playback_stop]. Other than that I
don't see anything per-song that indicates what's wrong.

README.Debian notes that the package was compiled with OpenGL support so
I tried the OpenGL Spectrum Analyzer in XMMS to make sure my OpenGL
wasn't fubar'd. My OpenGL functions.

Please let me know what other information I can supply you,

-Mike
