Subject: boot floppy halts system?
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Package: boot-floppies
     Version: 2.0.36
flavor: I'm sorry, but I don't know what "flavor" means here.
     architecture: i386
     model: Compudyne 3DX/33
     memory: 4MB
     scsi: DataCannon host adapter
     cd-rom: none
     network card: none
     pcmcia: none

I booted the system from the resc1440.bin floppy. The follow messages
appeared

Loading boot.bin
Loding Linux
Uncompressing Linux

and then this error msg:

Invalid compressed format (err=2)
-System halted.

Suspecting a bad floppy, I used to rawrite2 to make another copy, then a
third; they produced the same results.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Elwin Green
