Package: cdfs-src
Version: 0.5c-1
Severity: grave

For reasons that I'm not going to dive into here, I compile my own
kernel from the appropriate kernel-source package. As a consequence,
I must build cdfs myself (as far as I understand). Unfortunately,
that hasn't worked for the last few versions because the building
system doesn't quite seem to like the resulting version, including my
custom revision.

I use the following command line to build extra modules:

	make-kpkg --revision=42:lapdog.12 modules_image

(according to the docs I've read, that revision number should be OK)

For the cdfs modules, the build seems to run normally, but ends with
these few lines:

# You may want to make some executables suid here.
dh_gencontrol -- -v0.5c-1+42:lapdog.12
dh_builddeb --destdir=/usr/src/linux/..
dpkg-deb: parse error, in file `debian/cdfs-2.4.17/DEBIAN/control' near line 2 package `cdfs-2.4.17':
error in Version string `0.5c-1+42:lapdog.12': epoch in version is not number
dh_builddeb: command returned error code
