Package: gnome-panel
Version: 2.4.1-4
Severity: normal

Sometimes the clock in the Gnome panel sets its text to be wider than
the area allocated for it. This may cause part or all of the last digit
of the minutes to become hidden. A screenshot may make this clearer:

    http://liw.iki.fi/liw/misc/gnome-panel-clock.png

As text:

    "ma 17. marraskuuta, 10:4"

It should say:

    "ma 17. marraskuuta, 10:41"

The text is in Finnish since that is what I use; I don't know if the
locale is relevant.

If I go to the preferences and toggle the setting to show seconds the
clock applet resizes itself and then all works again for some time.
I have not yet figured out the pattern for when the text becomes too
wide. Presumably the applet computes its (maximum?) width a bit too
small in some cases, or something.
