If the 3.0r2 is not a "release", how do you call it? An "update"?
If so, I think the Debian homepage should reflect this terminology!
For now we can read "The latest stable release of Debian is 3.0r1." and
"The last update to this release was made [...]". I think this is confusing.
I think we should read "The latest stable release of Debian is 3.0." and
then "The last update to this release is 3.0r2, which was made [...]".
It's not urgent, off course, I know about your developpers access problems.
