Bug#1119234: cups-filters: Missing rastertopwg filter despite cups-filters installed

Package: cups-filters-core-drivers
Version: 1.28.17-6
Severity: normal
File: cups-filters

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
When I tried to print to the Brother HL-L2445DW laser, the print job was
cancelled.
I had printed regularly until then, but I had upgraded the kernel from 6.12
to 6.16.3 two days ago.
      * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
I had to remove the printer at the command line, as it was greyed out in
the Cinnamon printer settings.
   * What was the outcome of this action?
I was able to remove the printer
I tried to readd the printer through localhost:631 but it would not open in
the browser.
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
To be able to search for printers and add it again.

   Steps to reproduce:
   1. Add network printer using: lpadmin -p Printer -v ipp://IP/ipp/print -E -
m everywhere
   2. Attempt to print any document

   Expected result:
   Document prints successfully

   Actual result:
Print jobs are rejected with "document-format-not-supported" error
CUPS error log shows: Filter "rastertopwg" not found

The filter is not present in /usr/lib/cups/filter/ despite cups-filters and
   cups-filters-core-drivers being installed.

Workaround: I went to the Brother site and downloaded the .deb and used
their PPD drivers, but this defeats the purpose of IPP Everywhere driverless
printing.

   System: Debian 13 (Trixie) amd64

This is my first ever bug report, so please accept my apologies if it not done
professionally enough to reproduce.
