Severity: normal

Hello,

At the office we have several HP Laserjet printers (4000, 4050, 4100,
4250) and the HPLIP driver (PPD files from «hpcups») only support
600x600 for the printers, while in fact, the hardware allows up to 1200x1200
(fastres/prores).

PostScript driver is so slow that is unuseful.

This issue comes from upstream hplip package so maybe can be forwarded to
hplip's bug tracking system.

Greetings,

Thank you for your report, Camaleón.

As you acknowledge, Debain is not responsible for the content of PPD files
in HPLIP and is highly unlikely to make any adjustments to them

By all means push the issue upstream. My judgement is that it will meet with
a resounding silence. I do see why Debian should carry this bug, especially
as I think we will never get meaningful interaction.

Regards,

Brian.
