Please don't second-guess maintainer severity judgements. It's not a
productive use of time.

My conclusion is the same even if it were hundreds of files. In the
end, the package still works. It's not ideal, but people can tolerate
a little slowness every now and then.
I agree that it's a bug, but its really not worth delaying the release over.
Help is appreciated. Particularly an upstream report would be the
most welcome way to try to make progress on this one.
