Package: cupsys
Version: 1.1.14-5woody11
Severity: normal

1. Set up cups on a machine called "test01" with ip 192.168.17.54.
        Device URI: http://192.168.17.80:631/ipp/
2. Printed a test page while connected to test01 - OK
3. Printed a test page from a remote host connecting
        via the web interface - FAIL

Reason:
        While connected remotely via the Web interface, the "Test" button returns the
hostname instead of the ip address:
        Page source -
        <A HREF="http://test01:631/printers/HPLaserJ?op=print-test-page";>
        <IMG SRC="/images/print-test-page.gif" ALT="Print Test Page" BORDER="0"></A>

The other buttons ("Reject Jobs", "Modify Printer"..etc) just reference the admin page:
        Page source -
        <A HREF="/admin/?op=modify-printer&printer_name=HPLaserJ">
        <IMG SRC="/images/modify-printer.gif" ALT="Modify Printer" BORDER="0"></A>

Workaround:
        Added an entry to the my /etc/hosts:
        192.168.17.54   test01

Note:
        I installed previously a similar system, a few months back and it wasn't like this.
Sarge CUPSYS package does not exhibit this.

Dear bug submitter,

This bug was reported against a very old version of cups (older than
in the current stable Debian version "Etch"). About a year ago,
Martin-Eric Racine asked for feedback whether the bug still applied to
the current Debian Etch version, but we did not get any feedback. In
order to not keep around old, hardware-specific, and inactive bugs
around forever, I close this bug now.

Please report back if you still experience the problem with the
current version in Etch; if you can test Lenny/unstable, that would be
highly appreciated, of course. I will reopen this bug then.

Thank you for your report!

Martin
