just as an info - I have written in another thread. I did two days of
kernel testing and got most of them to work. In the meanwhile, i was
able to upgrade packages, the boot problem solved itself.
6.16.9+deb14-powerpc #1 PREEMPT Debian 6.16.9-1 (2025-09-27) ppc GNU/Linux
on my iBoook and I have working framebuffer console and X11. This is my
yaboot section.
image=/boot/vmlinux
label=Linux
read-only
append="iomem=relaxed"
# append="video=atyfb:off"
initrd=/boot/initrd.img
initrd-size=8192
No need to turn atyfb off, but I have that iomem=relaxed line that I
added long time ago and I don't remember why :)
Same GPU and CPU do work for me, that should give you some hope
