new kernel fails to boot - run-parts issue?
Hi,
I am upgrading on my old iBook G3.... many months since I last did so.
Due to the small HDD size (SDD) I update in chunks usually.
I installed the new kernel and it doesn't boot, initrd.img not found.
Luckily "LinuxOld" booted, I installed more packages and can now see
this issue:
Running hooks in /etc/ca-certificates/update.d...
done.
Errors were encountered while processing:
linux-image-6.16.9+deb14-powerpc
linux-image-powerpc
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Try `run-parts --help' for more information.
dpkg: error processing package linux-image-6.16.9+deb14-powerpc
(--configure):

script subprocess returned error exit status 1
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of linux-image-powerpc:
linux-image-powerpc depends on linux-image-6.16.9+deb14-powerpc (=
6.16.9-1); however:
Package linux-image-6.16.9+deb14-powerpc is not configured yet.
dpkg: error processing package linux-image-powerpc (--configure):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

linux-image-6.16.9+deb14-powerpc

I think this explains why the image was not correctly generated. But
what is run-parts missing? Is a script missing? wrong? not updated?
