No, there won't be anything like that as this is just a git repository
and git repositories just work like that. There is no such feature as
"auto-switching a branch specific to a host system".
The problem isn't that it's complicated, the problem is that people keep
ignoring what I'm writing, omit error messages, continue to top-post,
continue to send mails to me directly instead of the mailing list and
come up with their own diagnosis and conclusion trying to fix a problem.
As for ofpathname, the script is part of the powerpc-utils package and
if your machine has Debian unstable up and running, you will have
it installed anyway.
