It's not clear to me yet which part of the path here is the "plug ID", one
could assume it's correlated to the host.

Can you edit Yaboot's ofpath script and set DEBUG=1, then run "ofpath" on both
/dev/sda1 and /dev/sdb1?

root@kapitsa:~/yaboot-test/usr/sbin# ./ofpath /dev/sda1
SYS_DEVICE=/sys/devices/vio/30000002/host0/target0:0:4/0:0:4:0
SCSI_DEVICE=0:0:4:0
HOST_ID=0
BUS_ID=0
DEVICE_ID=4
LUN_ID=0
PLUG_ID=0
IEEE1394_ID=
SCSI_NAME=v-scsi
SCSI_DRIVER=ibmvscsi
SYS_PATH=/sys/devices/vio/30000002
OF_PATH=/vdevice/v-scsi@30000002
PART=:1
LUNX=
/vdevice/v-scsi@30000002/@4:1
root@kapitsa:~/yaboot-test/usr/sbin#
