Not really. 4.8.0 is the ABI version while 4.8.5 is the kernel version.
This means that modules built for a 4.8.3 kernel will also work for a
4.8.5 kernel without having to recompile the kernel modules.

The ABI version is bumped for every minor kernel release and is currently
at 4.9.0 in Debian unstable, see the output of uname:

glaubitz@ikarus:~$ uname -a
Linux ikarus 4.9.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.6-3 (2017-01-28) x86_64 GNU/Linux
