Hi,
Glad to hear sound is working for you now. Did you check you had
actually hardware accelerated setup ? You need to check the output of
glxinfo (cant remember if there is any other easy way).
I was also considering installing kodi on my Mac Mini G4, but it seems
the Debian package only allow the GUI installation not a headless one
using the framebuffer.
