I have a perfectly fine iBook G3 that is only missing its battery. I
plan on doing something like you did: check the debian-installer.

BTW, please *post* your installation reports so that we can link them
to the release certification page. I want to help with this arch as much
as I can.

Yes, it is known. I have not reported this earlier because I usually
throw away the kernels that come with Debian and compile my own
kernels.

This is also the solution that I proposed to rhonda (Gerfried Fuchs)
when we were chatting some days ago.

Please, don't forget to also install popularity contest and to update
the Debian release certification for lenny on http://wiki.debian.org/
