I tried to build modules for 2.6.18rc4

Indeed, yes. I am a member of
https://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-alsa/ and want to prepare
alsa 1.0.12 packages but won't upload alsa-driver since the aoa modules
will build ;)

Tried that patch, hgcompile runs but I am missing the resulting
modules:
snd_aoa_codec_tas,snd_aoa_fabric_layout,snd_aoa,snd_aoa_i2sbus
