Nope, that was for modifer+click emulation like in OS X.

I forget what the magic incantation was, but there's a fake keycode
assigned to the mouse button just for this purpose.

It's in fact been quite annoying, that's how the debate about this hack
arose. Emulation with 'sticky' keycodes already works out of the box in
mouseemu.
