Patch led blink when disc activity

Hi,

A few time ago there was posted on this mailing list 
(http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2006/01/msg00453.html) a patch 
to control the led blinking when HD activity.  Is it included in the 
debian kernel packages?  If so, how to activate it?
