laptop sleep changes ALSA switch ("failed to set volume")

Hi,

When I send my Powerbook 5,4 to sleep (closing the lid), and then wake
it up by opening it again, the "headphone" switch in ALSA is unset,
even if it was set before the sleep.

What could be causing this? Here is the dmesg output from suspending
& waking up:

what could that 'failed to set volume' be?

% uname -r
2.6.15-1-powerpc

(debian kernel), I am using udev.

% dpkg -l 'alsa*'
ii alsa-base 1.0.10-3 ALSA driver configuration files
ii alsa-oss 1.0.10-1 ALSA wrapper for OSS applications
ii alsa-utils 1.0.10-1 ALSA utilities

Thanks,

Tamas
