The DMASOUND settings are for the deprecated OSS system.
The last one is the newer ALSA system.

The first question is, which of the above modules are loaded?
You should either have dmasound_pmac loaded or snd_powermac, but not
both. If you have dmasound_pmac loaded try switching to alsa.
