Re: Dual G5 turns off after a while

Hi,

i used this kernel http://people.debian.org/~luther/ppc64/kernel- image-2.6.12-sven64_1_powerpc.deb

installed it with dpkg and it works ( be sure you have a backup kernel like vmlinuz-2.6.10-power4-smp )

Hi Sven,

I've had no luck booting this kernel on my dual G5 PowerMac 7,3. I
updated #319986 for this

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=319986

Daniel, if you managed to boot - did you have to do anything special?
I have a dual 2 Ghz G5 too.

Best regards,
Shyamal
