snapper		PowerBook3,4	yes (2.4.25-benh)	yes (1.0.3)
				no (2.6.8.1)		yes (1.0.4)

Hope this is clear, but this is an older powerbook (around 2002).
Beep doesn't work in 2.6 because it is disabled in the code (don't know
why).
