video4linux: planB

hi!

i am trying to get video4linux to work on an old powermac, using the
built-in planB video digitizer...

i can get webcam to capture frames from the device, but the colors are all
messed up, and the alignment is a little wrong...
here is a sample: http://iici.no-ip.org/~dylan/webcam.jpg

...could this be a PAL/NTSC problem?

also, i have noticed while trying to use certain video capture programs such
as hasciicam, i get the following output:

----------------------------------------------------
-- detecting hardware
Device used is /dev/video
Apple PlanB Video-In
2 channels detected
maximum capture size is 768x576
minimum capture size is 32x32
Video capabilities:
  VID_TYPE_CAPTURE can capture to memory
VID_TYPE_OVERLAY can overlay its image onto the frame buffer
  VID_TYPE_CLIPPING overlay clipping supported
VID_TYPE_FRAMERAM overlay overwrites frame buffer memory
  VID_TYPE_SCALES supports image scaling

-- going capture
grabbed image is 160x80 - ascii context is 80x40
using LIVE mode

ioctl VIDIOCMCAPTURE: Invalid argument
----------------------------------------------------

does anyone have any ideas on what that last error is all about?

thanks in advance!

dylan
