Hello All,
Just to let anyone interested know. I've compiled the source for
Audacity 1.2.0-pre4 by replacing the portaudio-v19 directory with
http://www.portaudio.com/archives/pa_snapshot_v19.tar.gz
Playback is now okay for alsa and oss. Jack doesn't work though.
