external vga + ibook2
Hello Debianusers,
Have anyone success in using his ibook2 with radeon
ati graphics card to make presentations under Linux?
# lspci
00:10.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon
Mobility M6 LY
# uname -a
Linux smooth 2.4.20-ben1 #5 Sam Jan 11 15:05:11 CET 2003 ppc unknown
unknown GNU/Linux
I modified m3mirror.c to use constants from
include/linux/radeonfb.h.
I can deactivate my lcd display with m3mirror, but
I can't activate the crt.
Jan 5 18:32:12 localhost kernel: radeonfb: ATI Radeon M6 LY DDR
SGRAM 16 MB
Jan 5 18:32:12 localhost kernel: radeonfb: DVI port LCD monitor
connected
Jan 5 18:32:12 localhost kernel: radeonfb: CRT port no monitor
connected
crt is never recognized by the radeonfb-driver (i rebooted
the system after connecting a monitor).
Any one an idea how to get this working?
I hate to boot MacOS X for presentations.
bye
Waldemar
