My typo -- I remembered what I had done wrong, but I did actually put it
in correctly, and it didnt' work. However, in reply to the other
response:

Yes! Now ethernet works... Is there some configuration I need to do to
have *both* working? I assumed airport would just "magically become"
eth1.
