I'm using kernel 2.2.19 on a Pismo and everything was ok (including X)
until I apt-get installed some new packages.
X refuse now to start and the reason seems a bit strange for me.
X: cannot stat /etc/X11/X (No such file or directory), aborting.
xdm error (pid 236): server unexpectedly died
xdm error (pid 236): Server for display :0 can't be started, session
Normally, xinit should seek XF86Config not a file called X !!!
So I tried to rename my XF86Config as X
X: cannot read /etc/X11/X symbolic link (Invalid argument), aborting.
xdm error (pid 234): server unexpectedly died
xdm error (pid 234): Server for display :0 can't be started, session
The file /etc/X11/X is a copy of my XF86Config, not a symbolic link !!
Well, I'm completely lost here.
If someone has an idea...
